Founder
Eric Edwards

Eric is a seasoned lawyer and executive with over 30 years of combined experience in the private and public sectors. Recently, as President of Mercantile Bank International and Mercantile Global Holdings, he led strategic growth initiatives at the bank and spearheaded innovations in digital assets and blockchain.​

​Eric’s distinguished career includes over a decade as senior staff in the U.S. Congress, specializing in banking regulations, capital markets oversight, and international monetary policy. In the private sector, he has held key leadership roles, including Managing Director at FS Investments, where he led government affairs and served on the Management Committee. Previously, he was a Partner at Crowell & Moring LLP, advising top institutions on complex regulatory matters, and a Vice President at Goldman Sachs, focusing on financial policy and regulatory strategy.​

​While serving as Counsel to the U.S. House Financial Services Committee, Eric played a pivotal role in shaping national financial policy, including developing the nation’s first counter-money laundering strategy, managing an IMF investigation, drafting the Credit Card Accountability Responsibility and Disclosure Act of 2009, and advising on TARP during the 2008 Financial Crisis.​

​In his free time, Eric enjoys writing and has authored several screenplays based on actual events in government, politics and the financial world.​

​Eric holds a J.D. and LL.M. (with honors) from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Law, an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a B.A. from Purdue University.

Lawrence Jason Eagleburger

Jason Eagleburger is an experienced government affairs professional with a background in congressional leadership, national security policy, and private-sector strategy. He has served in senior roles on Capitol Hill, including as Legislative Director and Senior Foreign Policy Advisor to Congressman Denver Riggleman, where he advised on defense, technology, energy, and international affairs. 

 

Jason has also managed high-level congressional investigations, directing technical operations, policy research, and interagency coordination on matters of national importance. In addition, he served as a lead staffer for the bipartisan House China Task Force, shaping legislative recommendations across trade, security, and technology. 

 

Beyond public service, Jason advises clients on countering disinformation, navigating federal policy, and building partnerships across the defense, energy, and technology sectors. 

 

He attended James Madison University, where he studied English Literature and Political Science, giving him a strong foundation in both communication and policy analysis. 

 

Jason brings a unique combination of policy expertise, investigative experience, and business development insight to clients operating in today’s complex political and regulatory landscape.
